The Humanist Society at Leeds Beckett is proud to launch the Humanist Diplomatic League—a student-led initiative championing academic freedom, secular ethics, and global citizenship.

Inspired by the principle of From Leeds Beckett to Westminster—or Geneva, we explore diplomacy not just as theory, but as active citizenship in practice.

We host:

  • Workshops on academic freedom and Foreign Influence Registration Scheme (FIRS) compliance

  • Model UN simulations & diplomatic dialogues

  • Public writing campaigns, policy letters, and charters for intellectual freedom

  • Civic meetups, from high-concept debates to Sunday roasts, that build community and thoughtful leadership

Whether you're a diplomat-in-the-making, a campaigner for secular rights, or just curious about international affairs, we invite you to be part of the conversation.

Collaborate with guest speakers, legal scholars, and Humanists UK to shape a more principled student future.

Lead ethically. Question boldly. Think globally.
