The Filmmaking Society is a group dedicated to the production of low budget, independent films, outside of the schedule of the Filmmaking BA. The aim of this society is to produce a high number of shorts, and possibly some features, from scripts or ideas submitted by members. Anyone looking to join does not need to be on the Filmmaking course or have any previous experience as long as they have ideas, a willingness to experiment, and will try their hand at many different roles on a film crew.

What we're doing.

  • Taking advantage of the facilities we have access to at the uni
  • Giving people not taking filmmaking an experience and something to put on their showreel
  • Giving people who ARE taking filmmaking an excuse to make something outside of assessments
  • Having fun making movies :)
