Hey Everyone, Meg here your Academic Experience Officer for 2021-22.

I am so honoured to represent you this year and can’t believe we have commenced another academic year! Where does the time go? I do hope you are settling in and a massive welcome to all new Leeds Beckett students. I really hope you enjoy your time here.

So, you will probably be wondering who I am and how I can support you this year. Some of you may recognise me from previous years, as fun fact, I have just graduated from Leeds Business School with a First Class degree in Business and Management (one of the biggest courses at Leeds Beckett University). I was a highly engaged student with the Students' Union before commencing this role and I am now so excited to lead an organisation which provided me with so much during my time at university.

I also identify as autistic, and I am so proud to be an example that nothing should ever stand in your way and that you can absolutely achieve anything that you put your mind to! If you want to know more about autism or being an autistic student at Beckett, get in touch! I am always happy to speak about it.

As your Academic Experience Officer, it is my role to support your academic and course-based interests! From having the opportunity to give feedback on your course to ensuring you have opportunities to network with others from across your school or with those in similar modules. My main priority for the year is to strengthen course communities ensuring that each course has a thriving network and want to empower you to shape your own experience. I am looking forward to working alongside you!
