This event will take place online via Microsoft Teams. Please reserve a free ticket and the link to the meeting will be sent to your student email address shortly before the event.

Have Your Say @ The Student Members Meeting is your opportunity to find out about what your Students' Union is doing for you and giving the SU a steer on what is most important to you.

This year, the Students' Union has engaged in a wide reaching Student Engagement Review with input from students and wider stakeholders, and now we want your view on the outcomes and proposals to move beyond traditional models of student leadership, and build a democracy that is relevant, accessible and effective for all students at Leeds Beckett.

You'll also receive updates from your elected student officers and the trustees on the Union's activities and financial position; approve the list of organisations to which the Students' Union is affiliated; ask questions to the elected student officers and the trustees; and discuss any Have Your Say ideas that have been submitted by your fellow students.

By participating in this discussion, students get to set some of the Students’ Union’s priorities in the next academic year. Congrats! You’ve had a positive influence on the student experience at Leeds Beckett.

Make sure you get a ticket otherwise you won't receive the Teams link to access the event.

Student Elections 2026

The Student Elections are the most important democratic event on campus where students choose who they would like to see run their Students' Union as part of the Executive Committee. The candidates with the most votes are elected to represent their peers.

4 posts are up for election.

The polls have closed.

National Union of Students Affiliation Referendum

If YES wins Leeds Beckett Students’ Union will remain affiliated with NUS UK and continue to take part in national student representation and campaigning through the organisation. If NO wins Leeds Beckett Students’ Union will leave NUS UK and will no longer be a member of the political and campaigning body. Regardless of the outcome, our affiliation with NUS Charity will remain unchanged. For the result to meet Quorum: a minimum of 4% of LBSU members (943) must cast a vote for the referendum to be valid

Should Leeds Beckett Students’ Union remain affiliated to NUS UK?
