Save the Children UK- Generation Hope Campaign

Save the Children UK- Generation Hope Campaign logo

Save the Children is a global charity that works alongside children in 115 countries. Around 24,000 staff around the world strive to give children the future that they deserve. Save the Children UK has 5 million amazing supporters whose dedication makes our work possible.

In the world’s biggest listening exercise of its kind, we asked children about their experiences of climate change. 50,000 children in more than 35 countries including the UK told us about the future that they hope for. They want to live in a world where everyone has enough to eat, children get a fair chance in life and the environment can flourish for the benefit of all.

However, they also told us about their fears. 70% of children in the UK told us that they are worried about the world that they’re going to inherit.

Climate change is putting the next generation’s safety at risk.

The science is clear, if we are to protect children from severe climate conditions, there is no room for fossil fuels.

The UK is moving to expand oil and gas drilling, but we have the power to change this.

We’ve launched the Generation Hope campaign to speak out against new fossil fuels in the UK. Our volunteer Changemakers will show decision-makers that the public wants a greener and fairer future by bringing communities across the UK together.
