Who is this role suitable for:
- The group is a women's only space so we welcome female volunteers
- Suitable for someone with interest or experience studying, working or volunteering with vulnerable women and/or community groups.
- Someone who is reliable and can commit to at least 6 months

Hours: 2pm-4pm, Tuesdays (arrival at 1:45pm for set-up)
Location: The Old Fire Station, Gipton Approach, LS9 6NL
Expected start date: From 22nd June 2021

Please note - This group will be closed for 6 week holidays from 21st July - 31st Aug

Role Expectations

• To report any issues or concerns to your group lead or manager.
• To support group staff and complete other duties if needed


- Role will be dependent on successful DBS check and at least 1 reference
- We will provide full induction and support ahead of start date

Key responsibilities

• Offer support to the group leader with discussions and facilitating group activities with the women. • If group is split into subgroups for discussion, to lead a subgroup and ensure the discussion stays on track, while allowing women to come up with their own ideas. • Build rapport with members and help them feel comfortable • Support individual women with paper-based activities when needed; wherever possible enabling and empowering the women to complete tasks themselves • Helping to set-up/tidy the room at the end of the session. • Help with getting teas and coffees for attendees and making members feel welcome
