Welcome to the Spoken Word Society!

We are passionate about poetry, prose and short-form spoken word performances.

Every month we host SpeakEasys: Open Mics where everyone is welcome to listen, or to perform their own pieces! It takes place every second Thursday of the month, 6-8pm, in Bombay 2 Goa, an Indian restaurant at the corner of Hyde Park next to Hyde Park Hotel & Pub.

Additionally, we host biweekly social Writing Workshops in Flamingos, and occeasional Contemplation Clubs, where we gather in the Rose Bowl cafeteria for free coffee, porridge, and conversations about poetry.
