My name is Manan Jain, and I’m a final-year Business and Management student, working as a Student Community Organiser and Trustee at Leeds Beckett Students’ Union.

As a student, my experience at university has been really amazing, especially with the opportunities and support available. At the same time, there have been areas where I felt things could be improved, which is one of the reasons I applied for this role last year and decided to continue in it this year as well. A big part of my role involves listening to students, taking their feedback, building collective action, and working together towards improving the things that need improving.

This year, I’m really looking forward to achieving tangible results through our priority campaigns, building strong relationships that allow us to take collective action, and learning from these experiences to help shape potential future priority campaigns.

As much as I enjoy this role, I also enjoy doing a lot of things outside of work, including singing, running, playing football, listening to podcasts, reading books, exploring different topics and much more.
