A few weeks ago, we hosted te first Student Assembly of the year, and wow! what an incredible turnout!
Students and student groups came together to share their experiences and ideas on the issues that matter most. From housing struggles to transport challenges, timetabling headaches to part-time work barriers, your voices shaped the direction of our campaigning work for the year ahead.
Our Student Community Organisers also shared updates from their listening work and core campaigns, and together we identified the areas where we can make the biggest impact.
Your Priority Campaigns for 2025:
These are the campaigns that Leaders of Student Communities voted as top priorities, and the ones that we'll be putting the most energy into this year:
Other key issues students care about:
These didn't make the official priority list, but they're still hugely important, and we're committed to pushing for change:
- Buses Campaign: fighting for affordable, safe, and reliable transport options in Leeds so all students can easily travel to and from university.
- Housing Campaign: challenging exploitative housing practices and demanding safe, affordable, and well-maintained accommodation for all students.
