Global events can have profound effects, both directly and indirectly, and we want to provide support to all those in our student and staff community where this is needed.
The University and Students’ Union are contacting students and colleagues who may be affected by the ongoing situation in Iran and the wider region to offer support and assistance.
If you or someone you know has been affected, emotional support is available through our student wellbeing services and the university chaplaincy service for faith and non-faith support.
If you feel your studies are being affected, you can contact your academic advisor or course administrator so that we can provide the right support. If these issues are impacting on your ability to submit or take assessments, you can submit a mitigation request. More information here
The University is following UK government advice about travel to the region and more widely. We are in touch with colleagues and students currently overseas on university arranged trips and are offering support, including with travel arrangements, where needed.
The UK government is regularly updating advice for anyone in the region or considering travel.
Leeds Beckett is committed to creating and maintaining a safe, welcoming and inclusive community which nurtures a culture of respect and consideration for all. If you, or someone you know, experiences unacceptable behaviour, you can let us know anonymously or provide your contact details and access support through Support Report Respect.
