Here at Leeds Beckett SU, we have a history of putting on some MEGA launch shows for the most exciting album releases of the year. Artists such as Blossoms, Steps, and London Grammar have chosen us as the place to have an intimate night-in with their fans.

Album launch gigs are getting more and more popular, as we see an increase in the number artists looking to celebrate their latest release in a more intimate setting. Typically hosted in a smaller venue than the artists would play on their usual tours, album launch shows often bring out the most dedicated of fans; those quickest to grab tickets and sell out the shows at record speed.

Organised with our friends over at Crash Records, album launch shows are swiftly becoming some of our most popular events. With fans eager to get the chance to see their favourite artists in such an intimate setting, second shows are often added due to popular demand. Notable artists who have sold out not one but two album launch shows with us here at LBSU include the likes of Blossoms, Yungblud, and most recently Rex Orange County.

Crash Records host a variety of album launch events with many of Leeds' smaller venues. As well as us here at LBSU, you’ll have the chance to catch an intimate show with some of your favourite artists at some of the cities cosiest venues, such as Brudenell Social Club, Belgrave Music Hall, and The Wardrobe, to name a few! In recent years artists such as Nothing But Thieves, Sam Fender and pop-punk legends Busted have performed legendary shows for small, sold-out crowds throughout Leeds. Fans can also get their new albums signed at Crash Records instore artist signings at their iconic city-centre shop on The Headrow.
