Developmental Language Disorder Day Awareness Stall

Developmental Language Disorder Day Awareness Stall

Thursday 15 October 2026

9am - noon

Sheila Silver Library Leeds Beckett University

An awareness stall for Developmental Language Disorder Day.

Our stall aims to raise awareness of Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), a lifelong condition that affects how people understand and use language. We will provide information about DLD, helping students understand the challenges individuals may face with communication, learning and social interaction. Through engaging activities, interactive resources and informative materials, we hope to challenge common misconceptions, promote understanding and highlight the importance of early identification and support. Our goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive space where people can learn more about DLD, ask questions and discover how we can all help create a more supportive environment for individuals with DLD.
