Come and learn a new skill for communication with children and people with learning disabilties!


Sign up for our 6 hour Makaton Level 1 course, split over two weeks, each with a 3 hour workshop taught face-to-face at city campus by registered Makaton tutor, Heather.

You must attend both sessions (20th April and 27th April).

Level 1 training provides a practical introduction to the Makaton Language Programme. The training is made up of two modules.

Sessions include discussing commonly asked questions, hints and tips for effective signing and symbol use and how to start using Makaton in everyday situations at home or work.

You will also learn the signs and symbols from Stages 1 and 2, and some of the Additional stage, of the Core Vocabulary.

You will receive a digital Participant's Manual which includes the Makaton symbols and pictures/videos of the signs that you learn in the workshop.

You will also be given a certificate of attendance.

Ticket sales close at 12pm on Sunday 5th April or once the 12 limited places are full.
Tickets are non-refundable- please email us so we can find someone to take your place if you can't come.
