🥾 Leeds to Liverpool Canal: Leeds to Apperley Bridge 🥾
We’re back with our first walk of the semester and of 2026, strolling along the Leeds to Liverpool Canal until Apperley Bridge, with sites of the River Aire weaving through our walk as well.
We will be meeting outside the WHSmith at Leeds railway station for 10:00 to make it easier for you to find us, then we’ll be leaving the station on foot to make our way down to the start of the canal at Granary Wharf. In return, we will be catching a train from Apperley Bridge back to Leeds. If you would like to purchase your train ticket in advance, we would recommend you get an ‘open single’ (it doesn’t need to be a on-peak, as it’s a Sunday) from Apperley Bridge to Leeds.
We will be having lunch in the middle of the walk, so please bring snacks, lunch and plenty of water with you as you won’t have chance to purchase food at any point on the walk.
