Global Village Welcome Session at City Campus: 11am - noon; RB205, City Campus; Find out what the Global Village has in store for Welcome Weeks and throughout the year!

City Campus Tour - Global Village: 1pm - 2pm; Meet at Rose Bowl Foyer, City Campus; Join us on city campus meeting at the Rosebowl Building ground floor foyer area for a tour of city campus lead by our Global Ambassadors. Get to know the campus and facilities!

Headingley Campus Tour - Global Village: 11am - noon; TBC; Join our Global Ambassador’s for a tour of the Headingley Campus. Get to know your away around and all the places to study and all the great places to eat and have a cuppa!

Meet a new Global Buddy! - Global Village at City Campus: 2pm - 4pm; RB412, City Campus; Join Global Village for our Meet A Buddy Event, connect with Current Students and meet other new students, sign up to get yourself a Buddy who can help you settle into life at Leeds Beckett.

Wed 10th September

Global Village Cafe: 12:30pm - 2:30pm; Rose Bowl Foyer, City Campus; Come along and meet the team at our first Global Village Café of the term. Write a postcard back home for FREE, enjoy some sweet treats and a cup of Yorkshire tea!

ANTICS at Home: 9pm - 3am; Home Nightclub, Leeds; Leeds' Biggest Weekly Social is back! The ultimate midweek party has been the busiest event in Leeds for over 15 years. 3 rooms of music, a games arcade, karaoke and much much more. Get ready for a year of unforgettable moments!

Thu 11th September

City walking and shopping tour - Global Village: 2pm - 4pm; TBC; Join our Global Ambassador’s for a walking tour of the city centre to include the best places to shop for all your essential items.

Cultural Exchange - Global Village: 4pm - 6pm; RB412, City Campus; Join our Global Engagement Officers for this session where you will exchange cultures, your languages and make new friends!

Sat 13th September

Global Village Saturdays - City Walking Tour & Leeds Museum: 11am - 1pm; TBC; A chance to see the city on foot with our Global Ambassadors, checking out Leeds Landmarks great places to shop, eat and hang out! Plus a chance to visit the Leeds Museum which is free Entry!

PROJEKT at Home: 10pm - 3am; Home Nightclub, Leeds; The North's biggest indoor festival moves to a brand new weekly Home for 2025. Expect Pyrotechnics, Dancers, Co2 Jets, Confetti, Mindblowing Visuals plus the world renowned VOID sound system, in one of the best club experiences Leeds has to offer!

Sun 14th September

Global Village Buddy Walk - Meanwood Park: 11am - 1pm; TBC; Take a stroll and meet new friends on this Buddy walk! We will take you to a local park not far from Headingley Campus. Distance is approx. 3km for the round trip.

SPOONS FRESHERS SUNDAY: 10pm - 3am; Disco Spoons; Kick off your Freshers week at the Iconic Disco Spoons, every student's favourite venue with Voodoo Events!

Mon 15th September

Fresher's Career Drop-in: 15th September 10am - 19th September 4pm; Careers Centre, Portland Building, City Campus; It’s never too early to start thinking about career planning, work experience, and part-time jobs. Come along to this drop-in for new students in the Career Centre! Join us every day of Freshers Week from 10am- 4pm!

Freshers Fair - Headingley Campus: 10am - 4pm; Blue Sports Arena, Headingley Campus; Come and discover your SU, freebies and all things student life at this year's Freshers Fairs!

Global Village Postcard Cafe: 12:30pm - 2:30pm; TBC; Come along to our Global Village Postcard Café where you can write a postcard back to your family and enjoy some refreshments on us and meet the team!

HIGH SOCIETY at If Rooftop: 10pm - 3am; If Rooftop, Leeds; NEW FOR 2025 from Voodoo Events! Enjoy panoramic views of the Leeds Skyline, sipping your favourite cocktail whilst dancing to the hottest soundtrack. Think HUGEL, Black Coffee, Keinemusik - you don't want to miss out!

Freshers 'Well-fair' at City Campus: 11am - 3pm; City Campus in the Portland Building and SU Events Hall; Wrap up Welcome Week with our Freshers Fair and find about out all the services available to you at Beckett!

Meet a New Buddy & Speedfriending - Global Village: 2pm - 4pm; RB416, City Campus; Join Global Village for our Meet A Buddy Event, connect with Current Students and meet other new students, meet our Global Buddies who can help you settle into life at Leeds Beckett.

FREAK at Northern Market: 9pm - 3am; Northern Market, Leeds; NEW FOR 2025 from Voodoo Events! Come along to one of Leeds hidden gems, Northern Market for live music (acoustic & bands), street food, a micro cinema and even craft beer!

Sat 20th September

Royal Armouries Trip - Global Village: 11am - 1pm; Meet outside the Rose Bowl Upper Car Park, City Campus; Join us for a Global Village Saturdays trip to explore the Leeds Armouries Museum!

Sun 21st September

Kirkstall Abbey Trip - Global Village: 11am - 1pm; Meet outside the Rose Bowl Upper Car Park, City Campus; Join the Global Ambassadors for a trip to Kirkstall Abbey, a local attraction just outside the city and packed with history!

Thu 25th September

Global Village Welcome Party: 7pm - 11pm; The Hive, City Campus; Join us for our infamous welcome party with free food, DJ, games, and plenty of dancing! Make new friends from around the world.
