Share your experiences on the realities of part-time work!

Are you working a part-time job, volunteer or undertake other work experience while studying? Whether it’s a great experience or a tough one, your story matters.

Join us for a relaxed, house-meeting style event where students come together to share their experiences of part-time work — the good, the challenging, and everything in between. We’ll explore:

  • What makes work experience valuable to you?
  • Do you volunteer or is it paid work? How do pay, contracts, and working conditions affect your wellbeing and studies?
  • What support do you need from the university to thrive?

This is your chance to speak, listen, and shape change. Your insights will be shared directly with the university careers team to help improve the services and opportunities available to students like you.

🗓️ Date: 29 October
📍 Location: The Pod (nearby underneath Gaia Cafe, City Campus)
⏰ Time: 11:00-12:30

Whether you’ve got a story to tell or just want to hear from others, come along and be part of the conversation.

Spaces are limited so please book a free ticket to come along.

If you have any questions, or are not able to attend but would like to share your story, please contact us at communityorganising@leedsbeckett.ac.uk
