This meeting will be an opportunity for any Leeds Beckett students to discuss ideas that we might want to put forward as a Students’ Union to the National Union of Students (NUS) National & Liberation Conferences in the next Semester.
We will discuss any ideas you may have as well as any key themes and ideas that have come out of LBSU listening activity and research that we have undertaken in Semester 1. Policies taken to NUS Conferences will be on national issues that affect students from across the UK, for example housing, mental health, international students visa restrictions etc.
If we come out of this meeting with some ideas for policies, the Students' Union can support you with writing them ready for submission before the deadline on Monday 15 January.

We will also let you know next steps and how NUS will be working with students to shape policies in the lead up to National Conference & Liberation Conference in April, as well as providing information on how you can stand in the leadership elections to attend the conferences yourself. You do not need to be attending the conference to be involved in writing policy.
