What is a School Forum?

Monday 13 November 2023

1pm - 1:30pm

MS Teams

As a Course Rep, you'll be invited to attend a School Forum each semester, but what even is a School Forum? What's your role in one? What do you there? If you're unsure, head to this session with LBSU's Academic Representation Team Leader, Steven.

Imagine this:

You're a Course Rep and you've been out talking to students on your course. They have some problems but you've spoken with your course Director and they're sorting them for you, but then, there's something that they can't resolve. What do you then?

School Forums are predominantly aimed at solving unresolved issues and allowing Course Reps and staff to collaborate on solutions to students' issues.

This session aims to equip you as a Course Rep for what to expect from a School Forum, what you can do to prepare, and what to expect from the staff in attendance. If you have never attended one before; would like a refresher; or have questions about the forums, book a ticket to this event and you'll recieve a Teams link to attend on Monday 13th November.

Admission to an event is at all times subject to any terms, conditions or rules of the Promoter and the venue operator.
