Leeds Beckett Students' Union and Leeds Beckett University are taking a stand against Sexual Harassment and Violence and are working together to embed a zero tolerance culture across campus and in your community.
We have been working behind the scenes with Revolution Viewing, to create a campaign video. The aim of the video is to demonstrate what types of sexual harassment may occur and how this could escalate to something more serious. Ultimately, we aim to convey the message that everyone has a part to play in changing the culture by stepping in and speaking up against behaviours that contribute towards sexual harassment and violence (Active Bystander approach).
The video emphasises that the University and the Union will take all disclosures of sexual harassment and violence seriously and are working towards providing justice for survivors.
In the upcoming month, the Zero Tolerance Website will go live. This will be the home of the video, an anonymous online reporting system and a safe space for students to gain access to a wide network of support.
Staff from the Students Union and University will be leading the way in raising awareness, educating the campus community and providing critical support to those impacted by sexual harassment and violence.
