Some people believe Welfare is primarily “talk” just having someone to talk to in the school. However I believe welfare is more than that and should be more than that.

My name is Blessing Odususi and I am running for the position of the Welfare Officer in order to change this narrative and re-establish welfare as the core motivation for the school and supporting all students of Leeds Beckett University

My objective is to understand the downfalls of welfare and our community and adhere to making improvements.

Why I should be elected?

I strongly believe that a merry heart doeth good like medicine. If you are happy then life becomes bearable.

As much as I am interested in you completing your studies, I am also very much interested in you having the best time of your life while at it.

We all need to feel engaged, involved and noticed and if elected I will ensure this happens.

I will enforce the fact that we, as students, are humans and individuals and not just a number, percentage or figure of the school.

I will always think about every student.

I will always consider race, sexuality, gender, age, disability and religion to ensure that everyone has equal opportunities.

Your academic life is important to me

Your social life is important to me

Your career life is important to me
