It is an honour for me to be considered for the position of  NUS Conference Delegate in the Leeds Beckett Students' Union. I am motivated for this position due to my willingness to help others during challenges. I believe that it will be extremely rewarding and exciting for me at this point in my life to assume the role of  NUS Conference Delegate and to lead the Students' Union. I am currently pursuing a full-time MSc Management program.

I firmly believe that my experience will help me empathize with students' issues, such as educational and financial ones, in a bid to find workable solutions. My strong passion for this position, united with my leadership abilities and experiences, academic background, and personal qualities such as perseverance, assurance, and gritty attitude, would help me lead the issues affecting students, enable their voices to be heard, and effectively address them to the university board. I'd like to highlight how amazing it is to represent all students by implementing relevant campaigns and taking forward educational issues to the university board for action.

Running effective campaigns for students can take the form of addressing a specific problem related to their financial or educational obstacles. The representative for the course can bring these concerns up. As you all know, we are living in times when it gets tremendously difficult to strike a perfect balance in life, and you need someone to hear you out. And I, your student voice and your friend, and your classmate want to establish this through becoming a channel by getting into Leeds Beckett Students Union as  NUS Conference Delegate.  We all can put in efforts to educate ourselves and mitigate any stress which we come across by taking your voice to the board and making sure that action be taken. The post of  NUS Conference Delegate is a channel to raise your voice to the university board and committees, and you need someone to lean on, and I promise you to engage the best of myself in any kind of challenges you come across during your time at Leeds Beckett University.

In addition, some significant student concerns have been identified in this year's big survey. For instance, some students' poor mental health made it difficult for them to provide evidence to extend the assignment's due date but failed. I will be able to launch a campaign to expedite students' access to mental health services on this issue in proper time. As a result, students will be able to determine their ability to deal with their assignments.
It becomes a subject of high importance when we have moved away from our homes. We have put so many things at stake and have even got financially burdened to educate ourselves in a prestigious institution like Leeds Beckett University. I hereby conclude my manifesto and I urge you all to vote for me, Jibran Khan, to the post of  NUS Conference Delegate.

Thank you,
Jibran A. Khan
