On this page, you'll find some guidance on how to distribute posters and flyers on campus, as well as where you are allowed to display your posters.
First, have a look at the university's handy guide to postering in their spaces on campus. Please read it before campagining.
Please note:
- You may only place one poster in each location mentioned below. Leave space for other candidates! Use A4 posters in smaller spaces and A3 posters in bigger locations.
- Where a poster site has painted boarder you must keep your poster within the boundaries.
- Flyers must be handed to people or left on tables - do not attach them to any surface. Please avoid leaving large numbers of flyers on tables in the Rosebowl Cafeteria (City Campus) and Campus Central Cafeteria (Headingley Campus) to support the university catering teams to keep the space clean and tidy.
- Don't put your posters on brickwork, stonework, lifts, or doors.
- Banners must properly affixed at every corner.
- Maximum banner size is w100cm x h50cm.
Poster Locations
The poster locations highlighted below are some of the well known student poster locations approved by the university where you are allowed to put your posters.
You can put posters in other locations around campus only if it respects the guidance the University shared in this guide. They are very specific about which walls you can put posters on!

Portland Building - Next to SU Office
You can put a poster on the green Portland Building wall using white blu tack only.
Leslie Silver Building
Glass windows outside the Leslie Silver library.
Leslie Silver Building - Gaia Cafe
Student poster site inside the purple box.
Portland Building - Entrance
Student poster site in the Portland corridor - entire white wall. Use white blu tack.
Rose Bowl silent study space - Level 2
Student Poster Site - within the purple boarders.
