Dear Students of Leeds Beckett University,

I am Hazel Eliza Brito, a Bahraini native with a heart deeply rooted in Goa. I am excited to introduce myself to you and share a little bit about my background.

I pursued my Bachelor's degree in Commerce Honours and gained a deep understanding of business concepts and practices. This laid a strong foundation for my future endeavors in the business world.

Currently, I am pursuing my MBA at Leeds Beckett University, where I am further expanding my knowledge and skills in various areas of business, including finance, marketing, and management.

Through my academic journey, I have realized that my passion lies in entrepreneurship and innovation. I am eager to use my skills and knowledge to bring innovative ideas to life and create a positive impact on society.

As a candidate for the academic officer, I stand for equal opportunities for all students, regardless of their background. My manifesto centers around improving the academic experience of students who are struggling and ensuring that everyone receives the necessary support to thrive in their studies.

To achieve this:

  • I pledge to implement mandatory workshop classes for all students before the year begins, which will provide guidance and support for those who need it. These workshops will focus on study skills, time management, and other essential techniques to help students succeed in their coursework.

  • I also promise to support course representatives in their roles by ensuring they receive the necessary training and guidance to be effective representatives for their fellow students. This includes offering regular feedback and advice to help them better understand and respond to the needs of their peers.

  • Furthermore, I will actively listen to students' concerns and queries and work tirelessly to resolve them. An academic officer should be approachable and supportive, and I am committed to being a reliable point of contact for students who require assistance.

As I embark on this exciting journey, I am grateful for the opportunities that have shaped me into the person I am today. I am excited to continue learning, growing, and contributing to the world around me.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I look forward to connecting with you all and exploring the endless possibilities that lie ahead.

Sincerely,

Hazel Eliza Brito
