About Us

Founded in 1992, the Harrogate Homeless Project is a registered charity that has been providing shelter and support to all those experiencing homelessness in the Harrogate District for over 30 years.

Our team of committed individuals work mostly across two sites: the Springboard Day Centre and our 16-bed Hostel- both located in Harrogate town centre, just a short walk from the bus and train stations.

Our Springboard Day centre provides a safe space for homeless and vulnerable people to receive a cooked lunch, stay throughout the day, see a GP, access laundry and washing facilities, and receive donations and supplies. Meanwhile, our Hostel offers safe and secure accommodation alongside comprehensive support, strategies, and assistance that allows our clients to transition on to truly independent living again.

Our team are an incredibly friendly group who possess the knowledge and expertise needed to offer multifaceted & judgement free support to everyone experiencing homelessness from all walks of life. We’re committed to recruiting and working alongside volunteers who are essential to the running of our services. We always incorporate the individual skill sets of our volunteers into the work they do with us, and our opportunities for volunteering are extensive.
