About Us

Community Champions are volunteers who help to help share key public health messages across Leeds.

Working in partnership with Public Health England, NHS  and Leeds City Council at vaccination clinics and health and well being events city wide.

Volunteers are trained and supported to have meaningful conversations and receive updates on key health messaging to share with friends/family or attend events in communities. Community Champions will be supported, receive an induction, training and will be invited to attend monthly peer support sessions.

Role will include : 

  • Supporting a range of partners including LCC and NHS in response to COVID-19 outbreaks, vaccination clinics/sites to promote health messaging in the community as well as attending health and wellbeing events.
  • Design and deliver their own community engagement activities/events to share COVID-19 and key health messages with support provided by delivery providers.

Breakfast Bite provides pay-as-you-feel breakfasts for students on City Campus from 9.30- 11am every Thursday morning during term time! Looking for a hot affordable breakfast on campus? This is your spot! 

You can choose from instant oats, toast and Idli (Indian rice cakes) or grab a cup of tea or coffee before heading to your lectures. 

It's right at Eco Soup by The Hive, and you can even bring your own bowl or cup for a free drink!
