About Us

We are a confidential, non-directive and non-advisory listening service run by students for students. Students can contact us via our phone line, IM service and email address from 8pm-8am every night.

Leeds Nightline is a confidential, anonymous, non-directive and non-advisory phone listening service run by Leeds students for the support of Leeds' student population. So when you’re under pressure, making a decision, facing a crisis, feeling down, or just need to chat about something, give us a try – it might just help.

We first started in 1973 and since then has been constantly evolving. In the past forty years we have continued to develop and expand our services to provide the best support available for students. This is achieved through the provision of our listening and information telephone line and more recently online, using ‘Instant Messaging’ (IM).

Leeds Nightline supports students from all over Leeds including those studying at the University of Leeds, Leeds Beckett University, Leeds Trinity, the Northern School of Contemporary Dance and other higher education institutions.
