Want to make a change at university? Want to have your say? We've got lots of ways you can get involved and make a difference to your university exerience.
Our 'Have Your Say' tool allows you to submit an idea for change and have your peers vote in favour, or against. Ideas that hit a certain number of thumbs up will be acted on by LBSU or taken to forums for further consideration. If you want to lead change within your course, why not become a Course Rep? You'll get support from LBSU every step of the way.
The Student Voice and Insight team will continue to work with the University to elect, train and support Course Representatives to ensure that students’ feedback and ideas continue to shape course delivery at Leeds Beckett. A full programme of Course Rep training and School Forums will be delivered remotely. We will also be continuing our work supporting Equality Communities and ensuring the diverse community of students at Leeds Beckett is effectively represented through our campaign work.
Our ‘Have Your Say’ initiative, which allows students to shape the work of the Students’ Union and make change by submitting ideas, will operate entirely online. Idea submission will continue as normal, with the Have Your Say Forums, open to all students, taking place online four times across the year.
Elections to a range of representative roles will be taking place in both semester one and semester two, however all campaigning activity associated with these will be subject to risk assessment and adherence to current government guidelines.
We will be offering a full service remotely and can be contacted in the following ways:
