Woman community leader Manifesto

If elected I would like to be able to achieve:

  • Tackle the stereotypes society nowadays have towards women
  • Help women and people who associate themselves as a women build up their self esteem due to social medias ‘ideal women’
  • Introduce women to the world of work and shy away from the ‘Glass ceiling Theory’

I think these objectives will help women in my community at Leeds Beckett flourish in there, family, and social life as it will help tackle the stereotypes of women in the 21st century.

I have experience being a leader as I was Deputy Head girl in my sixth form, and I was able to help the younger groups flourish, and the lower years had, many transgender individuals or females who were having thoughts about being a male. During this role I had developed my confidence skills, my ability to communicate to the wider society and have an opinion. Alongside this I volunteered in a scouting group where I was able to lead younger individuals and have an opinion towards other leaders to help the younger children communicate with us as leaders and other children. Having experience in leadership I believe that it would, make me an ideal candidate.

I want to leave this manifesto with a quote quite close to my heart. ‘Attitude trumps ability’. And having this mindset will allow any induvial to do whatever they want to. Thank you for reading my manifesto.

Thank you,

Millie Nicholls
