Leeds Hyde Park Sports Club
We a charity sports club based in Hyde Park Leeds, established in 2017, as a hub for our community. We started with the goal of providing a safe space for local kids to play sports and socialise. We have have grown from 7 junior members, to now 300 of all ages.
We are passionate about ensuring that those growing up in our community are happy, healthy and have opportunities for productive and safe leisure-time. We care deeply about the personal, not just the sporting, development, of the local children and adults that we work with, so feel privileged to be able to provide a service that benefits their physical, and mental health.
LHPFC is primarily volunteer-ran. The majority of our coaches and organisational staff are un-paid and keep the club alive through their hard work and commitment. We are always on the lookout for more student volunteers to help grow our club and keep the dream alive. We currently have several Leeds students working in a variety of roles from coaching to admin, in addition to social media and club management. Everyone is welcome and all skills are desirable. We understand that students lead busy lifestyles and so want our volunteers to work in their own time, and if they cannot commit to helping out one week that is not a problem!
We are endlessly flexible and a great way for anyone to gain some volunteering experience and improve their CV. We can work with you to develop any skills which will make you more employable: from leadership to events planning, we can help you learn or improve any practical skills.
