Due to the current Covid-19 situation, you may be staying inside. However, you still may want to give back.
“Volunteer from Home” is our new programme of opportunities that you can do from the following locations;
Volunteering from home is a fantastic (and easy!) way to make a difference, without taking up much time.
It could involve anything from;
You don’t need to go through an application or complete any training, it doesn’t take long to complete, and it doesn’t require any commitment.
Remember, you can still record the time that you spend making a difference. You can record your hours here; https://www.leedsbeckettsu.co.uk/volunteering/areyoucurrentlyvolunteering
Please note you do not need to click the “apply button” on this page unless you want us to send you more information. However, if you do we will be able to record your volunteering easier for when we award certificates/ e-certificates in the coming months.
Transcribe one of the most comprehensive and mysterious collections of architectural photography in the world.
Capturing buildings and monuments from across the globe and throughout the ages, The Courtauld's Conway Library collections are an invaluable resource for research.
For the first time in its history, this collection of over 1 million images is being ordered, accessioned and digitised by a fantastic team of volunteers as part of our ongoing digitisation project.
Once digitised, the entire collection will be made publicly accessible online, for free.
We want as many people as possible to be able to access the images, which is why we need your help to transcribe the information in each individual image.
Your transcription will allow photographs to be searchable by the information you're noting down (by city, town, architect, date and description) and will reveal the secrets of this collection for the first time.
To find out more about the project, take a look at our blog.
