People Matters is a charity that supports people experiencing disadvantage, especially through learning disabilities, autism and other hidden disabilities. We strive to break down barriers and social misconceptions and work alongside our members to enhance their lives and achieve their full potential. We provide 1-1 outreach support, various social groups for people aged 11+, adult learning courses, employment courses and job coaching, as well as running a social enterprise called Nourishing People. We are committed to offering innovative and person centred support to ensure each individual’s needs are met. Our volunteers are hugely valuable to the organisation. We primarily look for volunteers to support our social groups and to assist in our fundraising efforts, but do have many other roles available.
