Marie Curie nurses provide free care to people with terminal illnesses in the comfort of their own home right until the end. Our nurses work a night shift in the home from 10pm – 7am and care and support for the patient throughout this time with whatever is needed to make them as comfortable as possible. Having the nurse there allows the family members to take a break and get some much needed sleep.
Everything we do depends on the generous donations of our supporters. Without this, we wouldn’t be able to provide vital care and support (completely free of charge) to the people who need us at an extremely difficult time. That’s why the support of the communities across Leeds is so important.
