What we do… Hope Pastures rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes horses, ponies and donkeys. We also provide the opportunity for people to meet the animals and learn about them and how to look after them.
Hope Pastures online sales provides us with much needed donated funds to support our vital work, helping horses, ponies and donkeys that have suffered abuse, neglect and abandonment but now live on-site or in foster homes, or those living off-site that need our support. We need help selling items online to raise those funds. This role is for a regular volunteer to help take our sales and fundraising to the next level. Please note that this opportunity will require some onsite volunteering as well as virtual.
• Sorting and processing items for selling online.
• Photographing items for inclusion online.
• Listing, i.e. describing/selling products online.
• Packing and posting orders to customers.
You do not need specific skills or qualifications to volunteer but the following would be useful:
Good written English.
IT skills including using the internet and emails, checking eBay and other sites.
An interest in sorting through new and second-hand items which is kept in Leeds 16.
Able to post an item on our donations page with clear photo and description.
The time to be able to check the donations page regularly, contact buyers online and organise the packing and posting.
Some experience in selling and marketing would be very useful.
