How about a free cash machine? I have to draw £10 out a day to get change for the meter as the car park card payment facility at Headingley is broken and there is a 0.95p charge. I'm a student now so im skint, all those 0.95ps will mount up over the year. £3.80 per week, is it a 40 week year? thats like £150!

Supporting Comment from a Leeds Beckett Staff Member "As a member of staff, I wholeheartedly support this request. The cash machine outside Campus Central was free up until last September, when it became fee-charging. Unfortunately this was changed because there was a lack of footfall which meant that it wasn't viable for banks or the previous link machine operator to keep filling it. We weren't notified of the change either, which is annoying as the nearest machines are either at the BP Garage on Otley Road or in Headingley itself. Although our lovely SU offers cashback in the bar, it's not always a convenient option for students or staff. Whislt staff pay to park on campus through their salaries, the student body doesn't have the same option if they don't have permits. Broken machines mean that people are using the cashpoint to pay because they don't have the right amount of money for a full day's parking. If the cash point can't be free, then the University needs to push for the payment machines to be repaired as a matter of urgency.
