The dust has settled and your leaders have been chosen.
We would first of all like to thank all of the candidates who campaigned, persevered, and conducted themselves like true champions of the LBSU spirit. It is not easy to put yourself forward to become a leader of the SU and all of your hard work proves your dedication and spirit.
Without further ado, it’s time to meet your leaders:

The elections this year have seen us implement new tech for voting online and have a big and bold look, with more visibility than ever. 2,042 students voted in the election, which saw 24 students campaign for your votes. Of those candidates:
• 37.5% were women,
• 21% identified as LGBT+.
• We had 46% BAME, and
• 33% international candidates.
• 37.5% were mature students,
• 29% were in postgrad studies,
• While 8% of candidates identified as disabled, and
• 8% of candidates had dependants.
Thank you to all who have fought endlessly, campaigned tirelessly, and spoke out passionately about your stance on making students’ lives better.
A special thanks goes to the Election Ambassadors, Leeds Beckett students who took time out from their studies to help make these elections more vibrant and create a buzz around this important time in the SU calendar.
