I am Meghna Chaudhary, an international student doing MSC in Management and International Business. It is with great enthusiasm that I present my candidacy for the position of Academic Experience Officer for the academic year 2024-2025. I am deeply committed to enhancing the academic journey and overall experience of every student at our university.

Manifesto:

Creating a Supportive and Inclusive Environment: Together, let's cultivate a supportive and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and welcomed. We will work collaboratively to foster a culture of understanding and respect, ensuring that all voices are heard and celebrated.

Advocating for Increased Accessibility and Feedback: I will advocate for increased accessibility to tutors, ensuring that students have ample opportunities to discuss feedback on their academic progress. By fostering open communication channels, we can cultivate an environment of inclusion and support on campus.

Enhancing the Academic Experience for All: Let's create programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing the academic experience for students from all walks of life. Regardless of their background or origin, every student deserves access to high-quality education and support to excel in their academic endeavors.

Providing Support for Coursework Completion: Recognizing the challenges students face in completing coursework within tight deadlines, I will establish resources and assistance programs to help students achieve their academic goals. No student should feel overwhelmed or unsupported in their academic journey.

Promoting Activities for Tension Reduction: Prioritizing activities that reduce tensions and foster communication between students and faculty is crucial. By promoting positive interactions and mutual understanding, we can create a more harmonious and supportive academic environment.

Additionally, I will address key issues outlined in the second manifesto to further enhance the academic experience:

Advocating for university support in finding accommodation for international students without guarantors.
Organizing workshops and job shops to prepare students for life after graduation, including skill-specific workshops with rewards.
Enhancing visibility and support for Course Representatives to ensure students have avenues to address academic issues.
Facilitating more teamworking activities within courses to promote engagement and idea sharing.
Advocating for punctuality and clear feedback from professors to support student planning and learning.
Improving communication about exam formats and available academic support services.
Creating online groups for each course to facilitate student interaction and support.
Encouraging professors to discuss career opportunities associated with their courses to broaden students' perspectives.
Providing additional support for dissertation topic selection by compiling professors' research backgrounds to offer a variety of ideas.
