Hello, Namaste, Salaam, Howfa, Hola Everyone,

I am Megh Vadiwala, an MSc Management and International Business student, a result-oriented and self-motivated professional demeanor I am excited to share my manifesto for the position of SU Welfare Officer.


My Strengths include attention to detail, leadership capabilities, fostering team cohesion, maintaining a positive outlook, and problem-solving abilities.My leisure pursuits encompass Singing, Traveling, Networking and engaging with individuals from a variety of cultural backgrounds to gain insights from their experiences.

With my diverse background and extensive involvement in student activities, I am committed to elevating your welfare and enhancing the overall student experience.I actively participate in activities organized by the Student’s Union, as well as events held by various communities & Societies.



Here are my plans and initiatives as a Welfare Officer :

Emergency Assistance and Crisis Support:

Develop a robust emergency assistance program to support students facing unforeseen crises such as financial emergencies or personal hardships.

Collaborate with local organizations to provide emergency housing options for students in need.

Establish a 24/7 helpline for immediate assistance during emergencies.

Student Feedback and Continuous Improvement:

Implement regular surveys to gather feedback on welfare services and identify areas for improvement.

Establish a student-led welfare committee to provide direct input on initiatives and policies.

Work closely with student representatives from various departments to ensure a comprehensive understanding of diverse welfare needs.

Student Rights and Advocacy:

Develop workshops and informational sessions to educate students about their rights, ensuring they are aware of university policies and procedures.

Advocate for clearer communication channels between students and administration to address concerns promptly.

Establish a dedicated helpline for students to report issues anonymously and seek assistance without fear of reprisal.

Accessible Healthcare and Wellness Programs:

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance accessibility to medical services on and off-campus.
  • Introduce wellness programs, including fitness classes, stress-relief workshops, and health seminars to promote a healthy lifestyle.
  • Advocate for extended healthcare coverage for students, especially for mental health services.

5. Community Building and Social Connections:

Organize regular social events, both virtual and in-person, to foster a sense of community among students.

Create a mentorship program connecting new students with experienced peers to facilitate a smoother transition into university life.

Establish community forums or discussion groups to encourage open dialogue on various welfare-related topics.
