Harry

Hey everyone!

I'm thrilled to throw my name in for the Welfare Officer position.

My mission is clear - to be the voice and advocate for all students, addressing their professional and personal welfare concerns.

As a co-founder of Deeksham Foundation, an NGO close to my heart, I've gained valuable insights into community welfare. With two years of experience as an educational counselor, I've been a guide for individuals navigating their educational journeys.

Currently serving as the Global Ambassador, President of Leeds Welfare Club, and Vice-President of INSA, I am deeply embedded in fostering connections, understanding diverse perspectives, and advocating for student welfare.

Reason to vote for me?

My manifesto reflects my commitment to enhancing student life.

  •  I aim to establish an affordable Food Bank on campus, ensuring that no student goes hungry.
  •  The introduction of a Regional Counsellor Service will provide essential support to International students, bridging cultural gaps and fostering a sense of belonging.
  • Sports and Cultural endorsement initiatives will celebrate diversity and create opportunities for students to engage in activities they love.
  • Mental health and wellbeing are paramount, and I'll work towards implementing programs that prioritize the mental health of our student community.
  • Furthermore, I plan to establish an Accommodation Consultation service on campus, ensuring students have access to the guidance they need regarding their living arrangements.

Together, let's make Leeds Beckett University a place where every student feels supported, valued, and heard. I'm excited about the prospect of contributing to the welfare of our vibrant community.

“For the students, by the students, of the students!”

Thanks for considering my candidacy!

Cheers!

Yours,
Harry
