Blessing Odususi

My name is BLESSING ENIOLA ODUSUSI and as your current Welfare Officer, I've had the privilege of working closely with students and understanding their needs. In my first term, I've made significant strides in enhancing student well-being and welfare needs and creating a supportive environment on campus. But guess what? I'm not done yet!

If reelected, I'm committed to continuing the great work we've started and taking it to the next level. Here's what you can expect from me in my second term:

1. Culture specific Mental Health Support: I'll continue to work tirelessly to expand mental health resources on campus, ensuring that every student has access to the support they need. Let's break the stigma and create a culture of openness, inclusivity and understanding.

2. Student Welfare Initiatives: I'll champion more initiatives and activties that address the various aspects of student welfare, including financial support, housing, and accessibility. Your well-being is my top priority, and together, we can make positive changes.

3. Collaboration and Advocacy: I'll actively collaborate with student organizations, Well being services on campus,  faculty, and administration to address issues that affect student welfare. Your voices matter, and I'll be your advocate in creating a better student experience.

4. Well-being Events and Workshops: Last year I had stress busting activties to help students relieve stress on campus, I organized drug and alcohol awareness week, I worked on housing campaings and many more.
This year I wil do more by organizing engaging events and workshops focused on physical and emotional well-being. Let's have fun while learning valuable skills and techniques to navigate the challenges of student life.

5. Continued Accessibility: I'll ensure that the Students Union remains accessible and approachable for all students. Your concerns and feedback will always be heard, and I'll work diligently to address them. I will enforce the fact that we, as students, are humans and individuals and not just a number, percentage or figure of the school.

Together, let's make sure every student feels supported, valued, and empowered to thrive. I'm excited about the opportunity to serve you for another term as your Welfare Officer. Remember, your well-being matters, and I'm here to make a difference!

Vote for me and let's continue building a stronger, more inclusive student community. Thank you for your trust and support!
