In my quest to become the Academic Officer, I'm thrilled to offer my manifesto. Education is about creating a fun and enabling atmosphere where learning flourishes and students are given the tools they need to realize their greatest potential. It is not just about imparting knowledge. As your academic officer, I will initiate and support programs that advance diversity, holistic growth, mental health, and academic performance in our school community.

The aim is to collaborate with every interested stakeholder to promote a supportive and inclusive environment for all students through implementing realistic initiatives specifically geared towards a successful academic experience, social and mental wellbeing.

Encouraging academic performance, empowering students to realize their full potential, and celebrating diversity, equity, and inclusion. My dedication lies in cultivating a learning environment that is inventive, dynamic, and adaptable to the changing requirements of our academic community. 

Vision Statement

My dream academic setting is one in which students are encouraged to think critically, participate actively in society, and pursue lifelong learning. In my role as an Academic Officer, I will put student-centered projects first, build faculty support networks, and foster an inclusive and cooperative academic community.

Core Values

Dedication to Student Achievement: Prioritizing students' academic and personal welfare. I would ensure standing up for students' rights, making sure we have access to opportunities and resources, and encouraging a positive learning environment.

Integrity and Transparency: Establishing trust with students, tutors, and administrators while sustaining moral behavior, respecting academic standards, and being open and honest in communication.

Inclusivity and Equity: Fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment regardless of a student's background, and identity through promoting reasonable and equitable laws

Collaboration and Communication: I understand the crucial need to address obstacles, and accomplish shared goals, effective communication and collaboration among students, administration, and external stakeholders.

Academic Experience:

Strong academic record: Extensive knowledge of critical thinking, research skills, and understanding of academic rigor as evidenced in my achievements of BSc and MSc degrees previously

Research experience: Strong analytical skills, ability to manage complex information, and potential for contributing to faculty research initiatives as I already bagged a Masters degree over the years

Teaching assistantships & Tutoring: I possess an adequate understanding of curriculum, instructional methods, and ability to support student learning having been employed as a teaching assistant over the years

Non-Academic Experience:

Leadership as Senior Procurement Specialist: I have honed the ability to work effectively as a team, and harnessed effective communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Volunteering to education or social justice: I have served as a Student ambassador in the past and I am well vast and acquainted with struggles and challenges of acclimatizing as an international student

Project management experience: High level of ability to plan, organize, and execute tasks within deadlines and budgets as evidenced in my previous job roles as a Senior procurement specialist and business analyst

I have always been passionate about supporting and impacting positively in people's lives and I will be counting on your unwavering support to achieve this feat
