I am Obianuju, you may call me "Obi", I am eager to serve as your Academic Experience Officer. I am currently pursuing postgraduate studies in Biomedical Science. I enjoy activities like jogging at the Beckett Park, playing chess, listening to music, studying at both the Headingley Library and Sheila Silver Library.

I can relate experientially with the challenges of balancing finances, studies, social life, family commitments, and how they impact our academic journey. If you have ever felt overwhelmed by any of these challenges, please know that you are not alone, and I am here to advocate for you!

The role of Academic Experience Officer at Leeds Beckett University entails advocating for every student's academic journey, promoting inclusivity, innovation, and excellence within our dynamic academic community. If elected as your Academic Experience Officer, my primary goal is to address all our challenges, reduce student stress, and cultivate a supportive learning environment, I plan to achieve this by pursuing lecture timetabling flexibility, organizing events like early morning jogs, evening tutorial classes, picnics, educational games, workshops, and seminars to enhance time management, mental health, academic performance, and overall student well-being.

I am committed to enhancing your university experience by securing partnerships to offer discounts on groceries, hygiene products, and loans for electric bikes, scooters etc. Additionally, I aim to boost employability opportunities during and after studies by collaborating with career advice services and student support services in an engaging and enjoyable way.
