Hello all,    

 I, ABRAHAM SAM DANIEL standing to be re-elected as the Delegate of National Union of Students (2024-25) elections to be held on FEBRUARY 26^TH, 27^TH and 28^th, 2024. I am a full-time MBA student from January 2023 intake.  

I am re-standing for the position so that I can be the voice again for students from Leeds Beckett University from every courses.

It’s my wish to see that my peer should be benefited and also have no issues during their time in university. I will give my complete assurance that I won’t allow any needs of students to go in vain.       Together we can make it possible!   

 If I am re-elected I will give my 100% to the role as your Delegate of National Union of Students and will be honoured to speak on behalf of you all, as I did last year.

I will be a good choice for the delegate position, because

• I am one of the 7 NUS Delegates,  Last year ( 2023-24) from Leeds Beckett University
• I have the experience of being the Founder President of INSA Leeds( Indian National Students Association) the society which has done maximum number of events in the last year, 2023-2024
• I have experience being the President of South Asian Students Association, Leeds Beckett University
• I am the master brain for establishing Leeds Business Society( Founder President)
• I have enough experience representing my college of graduation at Indian National level meetings sponsored by UNESCO.
• I have experience being the Quiz Club Secretary during my Graduation time.
• And lastly, I believe that I can be trusted and I will never give up come what may.

If I am re-elected,

• I will be the voice from Leeds Beckett University regarding the current problem of the cost of living in the United Kingdom and the possible solutions for the student community national level.
• I will try my level best to get a proper solution for the concern about part-time jobs of students.
• I will raise my voice at the national level regarding the issue of International Students not getting Accommodation facilities in a pocket-friendly manner.
• I will talk at the national level regarding the accommodation guarantor scheme and the issues faced by the students for getting the same.
• I will ensure that every group of students is getting equal rights nationally, groups like differently abled, trans, lgb+ must be uplifted.
• I will try to make more collaborate with other universities so that engagement reach will be better.

Lastly, I believe that unity and transparency are very important for any setup for smooth functioning. So I can ensure everything will go through proper channel and will be sure of reaching out to the needs of students of Leeds Beckett University at national level.
