About Us

Self-led group of volunteers aged 14-25 that work with Healthwatch Leeds. We listen to the views of children and young people on how services in health and social care could be made better for them.

Whether you'd like to volunteer once a month by attending our monthly meetings or further develop your skillset and widen oppurtunities by being more proactive, Youthwatch Leeds are happy to help tailor your volunteering experience to what best suits you! We're an organisation that like to work creatively and are always open to sharing/discussing different ways of working.

We meet once a month within a venue based in central Leeds to discuss current topics affecting children and young people within health and social care. From here we focus on curating key projects to influence change within the sector and ensure the voice of children and young people are best represented. Every meeting provides an oppurtunity to meet like-minded young people - there's always an icebreaker, have guest speakers whereby possible and will always have food inc. infamous Dominos Pizza. The work we do at Youthwatch feeds into the city wide work that goes into ensuring Health and Social Care services are operating at optimum levels, we bring the creative spin and breath in the voice of the youth.

Aside from monthly meetings there are many more  oppurtunities available inc: Monthly meetings, oppurtunities to be Board Director reps, Training, Collaborating with other organisations inc. other youth groups/organisations, the NHS/ICB - i.e. Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust, Schools/Colleges/Universities etc., Outreach work inc.
