About Us

Penny Appeal at Home works throughout the UK to support vulnerable pockets in our communities that need a little extra help to get by.

Penny Appeal was found in 2009 to provide poverty relief across Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Offering a blend of emergency support and longer-term sustainable interventions.

In 2015 our UK Programmes were launched, and Penny Appeal at Home began to work throughout the UK to support vulnerable pockets in our communities that need a little extra help to get by.

Our head office is based in Wakefield, however we actively support people from a number of communities across the UK in West Yorkshire and the Humber, West Midlands, North East, North West and London.

We run a number of projects and campaigns throughout the year including befriending services, Penny Pals, supporting in older peoples community hubs, food access, community cafes, homeless feeds, soup kitchens, our food truck, food and hygiene packing and much more!

We believe charity begins at home, and with Team Orange volunteers you can take a hands-on role in helping vulnerable people in your community.
